KUTANI
The name of this pottery comes from a town called Kutani.
It is located in Ishikawa prefecture in northern part of Japan.
The origin goes back to the end of 16th century when Korean potters
were brought over from Korea to make tea ceremony ware.
They started a kiln in this area.
Kutani pottery now characteristically using vivid gold and complicated
painting process by hand paint each pieces.
